If y = 3, what is c + t?

At School

Evidently, my brain is not fried. At first you may say, "That's good, Chelsea. That means it's working." Yes, I know that already. How dumb do you think I am?! Just kidding. But, you will say/think/suppose differently after I tell you this...

Today, I endeavored the most daunting task an eighth grader of 2010 could ever consider doing... Wait, slight change; I was forced to endeavor a task sodauntingthatnoeightgraderof2010wouldeverconsiderdoing. *takes a deep breath* I took an SAT.

Okay, now let me descend from my epic, dark emotions that I've already protrayed and tell you what my normal-Chelsea-self thinks of this.

Numero uno, I've already taken an SAT before. I took it last year and lemme tell you, it wasn't the most pleasant of times. See, you're suppose to take the SAT in high school - I'm middle school... And I was offered to do it, for a price of course, because I aced my Reading exam. The SAT is over Reading and Math. My mom told me to give it a whirl, so I did. I wasted an entire Saturday at school taking that test... Well, not the entire day but the vast majority of it. I spent... THREE FRIGGIN' HOURS AT SCHOOL taking that cursed test.

I was so glorified whenever I finished. I went home, ate something, and that's when I realized I had the worst, absolute headache in the world. I mean, it sounds a bit... cliche? Ironic? Cliche and Ironic. I was brain dead for the next couple of weeks. It was hard! And that brings up another thing... see the title? Yeeah, that was one of the questions... I sat there and was like, "THERE'S NO 'Y' IN THIS QUESTION!"

I was seriously doubting my eyes until.... I blinked and apparently, it wasn't my mind being a bitch.

So, today, I took ANOTHER SAT, in fact, the entire eighth grade took it. For me, I felt like I was really experienced and I knew the generality of what to expect on the test. Well, with my luck, it wasn't close to what I had taken a year ago. It was... EASIER.
*blinks uncontrollably*
D-did I just say that?

No joke, it was a lot easier. See, being a writer has its perks! Since this test was over Critical Reading and Writing Skills, I was whizzing through that. And if you're a writer, you should have a broad vocabulary as well as a way with words... you wouldn't be a writer unless you have those key components. What you had to do was they would give you a sentence with a blank and the answer choices, you would have to choose one of 'em to fill in the blank. Luckily, I knew most of them; almost all; there were about two or there where I was like, WTF? Then it came to passage reading time! Ugh, honestly, I hate reading passages and fixing the authors INTENTIONAL errors, or answer questions about the passage.

Critical Reading, Writing Skills - BOOM! Mastered, I feel like I did a very good job on it... and when I mean, "very good job", I mean, DECENT.

Now... for the Mathetmatics. If you don't already know... I HATE MATH. Ahem, like many students in world. Okay, I don't hate it... I greatly dislike it because it's my piano, not my forte. And I've never, knock on wood, (I'm not superstitious) gotten an A in that class. And I don't think my time will be any time soon.
The Mathethematics... was... easier than I initally thought it was going to be. Having a bad memory of those LAST, impossible questions, I advanced into the math section with dull thoughts. I actually knew a couple... out of the 40... I think I got.. 15 right. Ha! That's BETTER than 0 right?

Overall, I thought it was pretty harmless. But, uh, I don't think it would be so bad if my teachers room that we were testing in wasn't so dang cold. Okay, I'm wearing jeans and a blue, short-sleeved, fitted shirt and I was shivering. And, I don't remember it ever being that cold in his room... EVER. Of course, I was in there for TWO HOURS, just over two actually, so... what do I expect?

But, we got to use a calculator on the math portion of the test... and I figured out that you could type on it. It's like a scientific calculator... you know those really nice ones? I "borrowed" it from my sister. I figured out you could type on it but it was hard and it took me forever to type, I am bored. What you had to do is you had to press a green button and then proceed to find the SMALL letters etched above the buttons. It was painful... and there was no space so I had to use periods. So, it looked something like this: (this is what I actually typed) I.AM.SO.BORED.IT.IS.CURRENTLY.10:20.AND.I.AM.REALLY.COLD.HELP.ME.

Enough of that, I have news to announce. The chair results came back in Band and I've figured out what chair I have! I'm... FOURTH out of... EIGHT! :D I'm in the middle, I'm so happy! And it TOTALLY beats last chair, which is what I was last year. Aha! *appualse* Thank you, thank you.

I think we can all agree on this, we hate tests. Everyone does! Tell me what's the worst test-taking experience ever! Or if you can think of what at all! And... you're favuorite food? (Sorry, I got back from lunch like 20 minutes ago and I'm satisified) WHY NOT! :D

P.S. I'm going to try to give myself a name for every single blog post... well, I'll try. Let's see how many I can get for when January 2011 hits! :D
