Halloween - My Halloween Is Ruined! Why? Several Reasons...

Well, this is shocking. Everything seems to be going pretty well this morning. The computer logged on in a timely manner and the internet didn't screw up like it did last time. Although, I'm in the first row of comptuer in this class and the row behind me, the second computer is making these weird noises. Weird beeps and bloops I've never heard a computer emit before... and the fan for the CPU is like on high or something because it's blowing hot air on me and this girl next to me, Sammie.

Yeah, I must say, this is turning out to be a good day. Of course, my day starts out better awful because every morning, regardless of what time I go to sleep, I end up waking up exhausted. It's getting harder and harder for me to get up in the morning because every morning I have to be at Band practice from 7:15 to 8:15. I'll talk about Band... next week I believe. Geez, I only get to post two times this week. So sad! D: Anyways...

Oh yeah... about... that microwave deal. Yeah, not a chance. That's not gonna happen. My dad bought these good breakfast sandwiches that I absolutely love and I have one every morning until they're gone and you have to put them in the microwave. So, deal: broken. But hey, it's worth a try.

All right, to those who don't know I love Halloween - a lot. It's my favorite holiday and I want to talk about Halloween just for a second.

Apparently, some people I've talked to don't celebrate Halloween because their parents believe it is evil. Now, I do respect people's opinions and they are entitled to having it and I'm there to respect it but then, so am I. HONESTLY. What is so "evil" about kids dressing up in harmless superhero and princess costumes and getting candy? Seriously, when do we get to dress out of the ordinary and get candy from strangers? Oh wait - I just realized how weird that sounds... uh, kids, never take candy from strangers on the street or from either a black or white creepy van with rust on it. Never. Because bad things happen to those who indulge. But I mean, c'mon! I take advantage of Halloween because we get candy -- let me repeat that WE GET CANDY. FREE candy might I add. You never pass up a free chance for free candy... unless it was from those situtations above.

Plus, we get to dress up and be as crazy as we want to be! You NEVER get to do that on a regular basis.

Hmm, I wonder why people think Halloween is evil? I've heard it has something to do with Satan, but no offense, I am a believer too (Christian) and I'm not preaching but some Christians are really uptight about things, like what you should and should not do. It's nuts! I mean, why would you take away from Halloween? Your CHILDREN need it! Our family has never been that hiped about Halloween but when I move out, I'm going all out man, like on Christmas, I will have boxes in my attic that with have Halloween in spooky letters on it!

Ooh, speaking of Halloween. Me and my family always go to Six Flags during that time because they dress up the entire park and it's amazing! At one point in the park, there is zombies wondering around. People get paid to be zombies! That's amazing. Though, I do have a thing... a bad thing for zombies. They're really creepy to me and my creep-o-meter is at an all time low, all the time. (All Time Low is a good band by the way, PST!)

I'll tell you a story about that part of the park. We were sitting at the cobb-web infested train station, waiting for it to come so we could get back to the front of the park. I was leaning against the railing, watching the zombies stumble by and something caught my attention. There were two girls walking down the walkway and talking and having a great time. But little did they know they were being followed. It was a man, he had torn up overalls and was covered in blood. These weren't the pretty zombies guys, creepy, bloody zombies. Six Flags embraces Halloween and I love it! :D So finally, about a minute later, one of them catches whiff of something. They turn, see the pursuer and start walking faster, the zombie followed them. Then they broke into a run and screamed, the zombie followed them, running! By that time, I was laughing really hard because these people were screaming bloody murder. But these zombies were legit, they were good actors. You must be ceritified to be a zombie at Six Flags. I need to put that on my Bucket List: be zombie at Six Flags.

Of course, the story doesn't end there. Farther down the way, the girls were still running and the zombie was still chasing them so to escape, they ran into the bathroom. THE ZOMBIE FOLLOWED THEM into the bathroom. I couldn't breathe, I was laughing so hard. Talk about zombies want their human flesh. So, they burst out of the bathroom and sprinting full speed out of that portion of the park.

Ah, that was the best moment as a bystander I could have caught. Thankfully, I was not chased by any zombies, although, one gave me a deadthly glare... ironically.

Okay, but this Halloween might be a bit different. I'm actually prepared to pout about it. Here are the reasons I will probably have a crappy Halloween:

1. It's on a friggin' Monday.

I mean, WHAT THE HECK, how are we suppose to have a succesful Halloween on a Monday night!? I was complaining about it at lunch to my friends and we all figured that if we want to have another good Halloween we're gonna have to wait until I'm a senior, which is in four years! I don't want to wait four years for a good Halloween! I was planning on going all out this year and now my dream is dead.

2. I didn't get the Halloween costume I wanted.

I know this might make me sound like an eight year old again but I REALLY wanted this costume and my mom wouldn't buy it for me because she said she didn't want to spend eighty dollars on a costume, which I can totally see where she's coming from with that but... I mean, what am I suppose to be now? Plus, if I got it, I could wear it more than once! So, then I'd be set for the rest of my life since I'm not getting any taller or bigger... though, I could gain weight... >.> Gee, I hope not... O_o The costume I wanted was Hastune Miku. Don't know who she is. Well, she's a Japanese Pop Diva. People in Japan love her and so do I. Look her up. Fun part is, she's not real. :O And she sings?! Yeah, it's amazing.

3. Since I don't have a costume, I don't know what to be.

I had some ideas like, get a white t-shirt and write: "This is my costume". Or I could be a kimono/geisha, that would be cool. Or... I could get a wig and work around the wig? Orrrr... I get the black wig I have, fix it up, cut some hairs and I could be some random anime girl... and do the makeup. But clothing is going to be a big issue for me because I hardly have enough matching/good clothing for myself, much less a costume. Hmm... I need some ideas and fast.

Ironically, last year, I was a zombie because I needed something really quick so I did crappy makeup and wore some ragged clothing and said I was a zombie that just had a break up. And it worked out perfectly. But I want to do something good this year!

Any ideas? I would LOVE to know. :)

Also suggestions for blog topics, would LOVE them, I'm running short again. Any suggestions, I will take. I need to be flexible with blogging since I lack topics most of the time. Sorry if I sound like I ask for them all the time, it's just that I blogger/reader interaction.

And Tangerine-Tane, you don't have to apologize for long comments. Or anyone for that matter. I LOVE long comments! It means you actually comprehended my blog and decided and took the time to write a lovely comment. :D I appreicate them guys. All the time.

Comment, check the boxes (how am I doing), feed my koi, and overall, chill out guys.

  1. Ironic. The day before yesterday, I'd read your post about not using a microwave. Yesterday, our microwave died. Awesomeness. ^_^
The same thing happened to me for my costume, sort of… Originally, I wanted to go as Party Poison(a character from some music videos by My Chemical Romance). I didn't really have any other ideas, plus I'd found GLOW IN THE DARK HAIR DYE. :D But my mom says we can't get the stuff for the costume. >.< So instead I shalt be going as John Denver. Sorry about your Halloween… I'm not allowed to trick or treat this Halloween, I don't think.
That sounds totally awesome… I want to go to Six Flags now. ^_^ Ooh… It would suck if they were the wall climbing type and you were on a rollercoaster.
Gah… Topics… Hm… Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking stuff? Email versus snail mail?

I'm being the Mad Hatter for Halloween. A girl version, obviously. ;) It'll be fun... so first time, I think, commenting on your blog, but I've read it occasionally and loved it all those times. :D

  7. LST,

EXACTLY my point. I mean, no one is too old for candy! I will stop dressing up when... I don't care anymore, which will be a while. That's the reason I'm trick-or-treating, I want the candy. And also, my younger brother who is eight needs someone to go with and my eighteen year old sister isn't going to do it. lol. So, I'm next in line.

  10. Halloween is on a...Monday!? Wow... That's just... Wow -_- How the heck are people supposed to stay up and get tons of candy and get plenty of fat when they have to get up at 6 the next morning? (at least, that's what time all the local HS kids have to get up at) That sucks :/ I feel bad for you, and everyone else who's doing Halloween this year :(

I don't really celebrate Halloween. My mom agrees that it's evil, because she says it's "celebrating the dead." Something about it's origin. I don't know exactly know the reason why *I* don't celebrate Halloween, but it's probably something to do with my mom. My mom and my dad both have different religions. my dad encourages me to do it, but my mom doesn't want me to. So really, I can do either and avoid any crap some other kids might get, but...I dunno. I just don't.

WHAAAAAAAAAT? HOW CAN YOU NOT BE ALLOWED TO GET THAT HATSUNE MIKU COSTUME? We've been talking about it since...May, or something, and now... bleh -_- Is it because it's too expensive? I thought you were going to buy it with your own money? UGH! There's gotta be another way! Well, halloween isn't here yet, so you still have time ^_^ My sister (who used my account last night -_-) found a costume on eBay for a cheap price... I think you may be able to find cheaper HM costumes at a much cheaper price on Kijiji or Ebay :D

If I were to do Halloween, I would go as my future husband, SpiderMan. Except girl version, of course. On the midnight premiere of SM, me and my friends are gonna go to the theatres with our faces painted and wearing Spider Man outfits, and we're gonna make a lot of noise and stuff ^_^ SPIDERMAN FOREVER XD You've gotta love him... :)

My sister wants to be Alice from Pandora Hearts. Maybe you could be another anime character if you can't be Hatsune Miku?

  11. Chiaki,

EXACTLY! How can we have a successful Halloween on a Monday night?? It's gonna suck, but I'm gonna have to manage... somehow.

Ooh, I didn't know that your mom didn't like Halloween. Well, if you want, you can tell her Halloween has totally lost its original meaning. It's just one of those holidays that give us an excuse for dressing up like hooligans! :D But of course, I respect her opinion and she is entitled to it.

See, I'm still scheming that plan to getting that costume. But I'm kinda leaning towards the no-side. What I'm thinking about doing is being a random anime girl, do the makeup. I do have a wig I could trim up, but I just need clothes now. I can be Hatsune later on... sadly... But I have another idea so it's good. :)

DUDE you will not believe my LOVE and PASSION for Spider Man! He use to be my idol when I was growing up!! I use to watch Spiderman 1 and 2 all the time, over and over when I was little. I would sit in my room and watch it on my small screen with my DVD player. It was amazing!! And I still love him. :D

  12. I'm SO sorry about your Halloween! I didn't quite understand your ranting about it being a Monday this year, until I realized November 1st is not a holiday in the US!! This is so lame! I mean YOU are the guys who celebrate Halloween the most! How come it's a Holiday about everywhere (Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritius, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain) but not in the states! I say you oughta come and celebrate Halloween in Spain or Brazil this year!
Anyways, There's a GREAT anime character database, for cosplayers here: http://www.animecharactersdatabase.com/
you can sort them out by eye or hair color and stuff. With that, you might be able to find a cute but simple anime character costume idea!

    Happy Halloween! ^-^
